Sudoku Widget (SuWi)

This Widget is geared toward the Sudoku solver who enjoys doing puzzles themselves without the software automatically solving the puzzle in any way. Ease of use is the key design factor with SuWi.

This Widget starts with a huge number of puzzles that are available freely on the internet. You can choose the daily BrainBusters puzzle (6 levels of difficulty) or a random puzzle from www.menneske.no (8 levels of difficulty). The puzzle will be loaded into the Widget and ready to go in seconds.

Once you have a puzzle ready to go, the user interface offers every tool needed to solve a puzzle quickly and efficiently. Pencil marks for all numbers are immediately available. Pen marks are made by double clicking the pencil mark. When you remove a pen mark, all pencil marks are retained. And for ultimate convenience, and perhaps a first for sudoku puzzle programs, all pencil and pen marks are saved when you exit the Widget. You may start and stop as many times as you like before you finish a puzzle.

A help screen, sizable puzzle, and adaptable user interface complete the list of features. Please give SuWi a try. You may find it to be just the sudoku Widget you have been looking for!

MasterMind

This is a faithful adaption of the classic logic game. Try to guess the secret code by using a sequence of colored marbles. Fill in a row and click the first clue dot in the row to be given feedback that will allow you to close in on the correct sequence. A black dot on the right indicates that you have a marble in the correct place with the correct color, whereas a white dot tells you that you have the color right, but in the wrong spot.

This version has a customizable board and keeps track of your average number of guesses before you crack the code. A help file in the context menu teaches new users how to play. They keyboard is enabled for quick color changes.

Download and expand your brain!

Felix

This Widget will provide your desktop with one Felix the Cat, and now (celebrating over 30,000 downloads) includes his bag of tricks. Felix will walk around your desktop pondering life, staring into space, or turning with a smile, depending on his mood.

This Widget is the culmination of some ideas shown with other animation Widgets. However, who can resist the one and only Felix?!

Felix now requires Konfabulator 2.0 or better. He is configurable for animation speed, turn frequency, stare frequency, etc. Felix now has a bag of tricks which include a method for animating your own graphic files. Look in the zip file for a folder called "santa" and put this folder in your "My Pictures" directory. Felix can now transform into santa on Christmas Eve. Be sure and view the ReadMe file for more information.
