ISC INFOCon

This Widget monitors the Internet Storm Center (ISC) INFOCon.
The purpose of this Icon is best described on the ISC website (http://isc.sans.org):

"The intent of the 'Infocon' is to reflect changes in malicious traffic and the possibility of disrupted connectivity. In particular important is the concept of "Change". Every host connected to the Internet is subject to some amount of traffic caused by worms and viruses. However, once a worm has been identified and the number of infected machines is no longer increasing, this traffic is not likely to cause any disruptions.

The Infocon is intended to apply to the condition of the Internet infrastructure. We do not monitor particular nations or companies."

Network Monitor

This is designed as a simple network management tool, and features the following:

1. Support for up to 6 named Servers - checked by a simple ping command
2. Reads temperature from the APC Environmental Unit (requires the open source Net-SNMP program from www.net-snmp.org as SNMP is used to communicate).
3. Support for automatic texting of error messages (file-server down or temperature over set limit) to two mobile numbers.(requires account with www.clickatell.com).
4. User-definable checking period, with a log created in the Widget data area of each result with date and time.

Any of these features can easily be expanded, in particular the SNMP check can cover anything on the network.

MinAmp

MinAmp lets you control Winamp right out of the box! It does not need to register any DLL and should work on any PC (with/without restrictions). Minamp offers the barest of functionalities, just enough that you will be so happy you decided to use it, and not so many that you wonder why you aren't using Winamp's interface itself.

Functions:
• Play/Pause (single button), Next, Previous, Quit, Volume Up, Volume Down, Toggle Shuffle, Toggle Repeat.
• New! Displays currently playing song title and current position, and updates at regular (configurable) intervals.
• Drag and drop file or folder to enqueue in Winamp.
• Loads Winamp automatically when loaded (remember to provide the path in the settings window).
• Skin color can be selected (albeit from Blue, Green, Red, Gray. Dont worry, each of them are snazzy.)
• Ideally placed right next to the Minimize/Restore buttons (top right corner). Will stay above all other applications, so you can carry on working, and still have control.
