Palette Grabber

This Widget takes advantage of www.degraeve.org's new web service-based palette generator. It allows a user to input an image's URL, and will quickly return a palette of eye-pleasing colors to match the image.

This is a great tool for web-developers and even people who just like to play with stuff like mySpace, add an image then use the palette picker to help decide on a background or frame color scheme. All the colors are given in the tooltips if you mouse over them. Colors are displayed in RGB.

All of the color picking is done by www.degraeve.org I just wrote a Widget front end. Check them out.

Screenshot Lite

Modified version of 'ScreenshotJPEG' by Aaron Williams. Takes up minimal screenspace, and has two modes - take screenshot now, and take in 5 seconds (gives you time to focus the right window). Fits neatly at the bottom of the screen, and can be hidden when not in use.

Saves screenshots as JPEGs on the Desktop, with the name 'screenshot(DD-MM-YYYY).jpg', and can append a sequential figure. It can even add a random sequence of letters and numbers for security and privacy when you're uploading a number of screenshots to your website.

Requires Mac OS X 10.3 or greater.

A demonstration of unconventional Konfabulator user interface techniques disguised as a collection of simple system utilities... Ethernet monitor, date & time, and battery monitor "Widglets" which behave like completely independent Widgets. Independently movable, real-time resizing, multiple preference panes, and way more.

Eventually it will be opened up as a generalized "Widglet" framework, allowing easy development of multi-Widglet Widgets.

[Editor's note: This is still a single Widget so be careful if you move it using a command-drag as everything goes pear-shaped. Also note that this Widget creates a floating window that 1800 X 2400 pixels so beware if you use screen capture utilities that grab full windows.]

Konceive

This is a visual development tool for constructing the basic layouts for a Widget. This is a very early version of the Widget, but I wanted to get it out to everyone as it can already effectively be used.

Features:
• drag-and-drop of images into the editor
• dynamic resizing and placement
• an inspector window for fine tuning the layout
• the ability to nest objects into frames (select both the frame and the object then right click and choose "add to frame")
• natural feeling development and layout tools

When you are finished click "Build Widget" to create and run the test Widget (it'll be placed on your desktop and called "test.widget")

There is a lot more I plan to do with this Widget, but please try it out and let me know what you think.
