Moody

A Widget that mimics a mood ring for your computer. Of course, it's not a ring, because computers don't wear rings, silly.

Moody lets you know what kind of a mood your computer is in. For information about the colors, refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mood_ring. Moody has been calibrated to respond to computers in a similar way that mood rings respond to people. The results are based on a combination of factors, including your CPU utilization, your memory utilization, and (in the case of computers that have batteries) your battery life.

Moody may take up to 15 minutes to get an accurate reading of the mood of your computer, so readings may be inaccurate in the midst of fluctuating moods. This is completely normal, and is an inherent limitation in the way mood-telling devices work. You can, however, increase the sensitivity of the mood ring if you're impatient.

Spelling Bee

Spelling Bee is a useful standalone tool for people who like to use big words. Just type in a word, and if it's not a word in the dictionary, it will make some suggestions. Click on the "..." or press the up/down arrow keys to see more suggestions. It features auto-copy, auto-checking, and two different visual styles.

New! You can use Spelling Bee with many different languages. Select which dictionary to use by right-clicking the Widget and clicking on the short dictionary code. To add languages other than English, first download a dictionary file from ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/dict/ (Note that you should only download files beginning with aspell or aspell5 - aspell6 files probably will not work). Then drag the tar.bz2 file onto the Widget. The bee will let you know when it's done installing the new dictionary. Then, activate it by right-clicking the Widget, and choosing "Manage Dictionaries." Finally, right-click and select the dictionary.

Spelling Bee also lets you customize the colors and size.

This Widget uses the open source aspell (http://aspell.net) and runs entirely from your own computer - no Internet connection required!
